Crop wallpapers for phones and desktop monitors
A wallpaper that does not match your screen shape gets stretched or cropped automatically, often in the wrong place. Modern phones have tall screens, close to 19.5:9 on recent iPhones and many Android phones, while laptops and monitors are usually 16:9.
Pick Phone 19.5:9 or Desktop 16:9, place the crop box over the part of the photo you love, and export at 1179×2556 for phones or 3840×2160 (4K) for desktops. Start with a high-resolution photo so nothing has to be enlarged.
Cropping happens on your device
Your photo is opened directly in your browser and cropped, resized, rotated and exported in local memory. It is never uploaded, so personal photos and ID pictures stay private. At original pixels, the cropped area is copied one-to-one with no resampling, so the result is exactly as sharp as your source photo.
Frequently asked questions
What size wallpaper fits my phone?
Most recent phones have a tall screen close to 19.5:9 or 20:9. A 1179×2556 image fits recent iPhones closely and works on most Android phones, which scale it slightly.
What resolution should a desktop wallpaper be?
1920×1080 for Full HD screens, 2560×1440 for QHD and 3840×2160 for 4K. All three are 16:9, so one 16:9 crop can be exported at whichever size your monitor uses.
Why does my wallpaper zoom in on iPhone?
iOS can add a slight zoom for its perspective (parallax) effect. Turn off Perspective Zoom when setting the wallpaper to see it exactly as you cropped it.
